For the first time, we are organising a winter hike in a fairylike place in Latvia – Tervete Nature Park. And the term “fairylike” applies in this place like no other.

Above all, being in the woods is really magical in winter, when the trees swing from heavy snow and it creaks under the feet. And of course, this is where the fairytale characters of the writer Anna Brigadere are recreated in wooden sculptures.

Nature lovers will be able to admire the power of the forest and climb one of the tallest wooden observation towers in Latvia with an observation deck, located 25 m above the top of pine trees. Another unique highlight of this winter hike is history. Hiking trails will take you through the wooden castle of Tervete, which demonstrates the power of the ancient tribe Semigallians, which you can also feel climbing the hillforts.

Winter hikes always stand out with their coziness. So nature only must take care of the snow, and in any case, we will take care of the fun of the hike – bonfires and hot tea in the forest in winter.
