Discovery of the Great Kemeri Bog
“TrekTours” invites you to discover the magical mystery that is Ķemeri National park. There we will not only experience the wonders and colours of the bog but also enjoy the last summer-like moments on the sandy, golden beach, breathtaking dunes, and unique lakes.
Join us on the 16th of September for a 15, 27, or 37 km long discovery of the enchanted mystery that is Kemeru Bog, only 47 km from Riga.

A glimpse into Ķemeri bog enchantment. After exploring Ķemeri you’ll go on an expedition to the Green dune and Ķemeri sulfur ponds. On your way, you’ll be greeted by the bright colours of autumn and the songs of the migratory birds. You’ll find yourself in the Witch’s bog where the legends tell stories of (you guessed it) witches. There you’ll see the unique flora and possibly experience the healing properties of the sulfur waters, which might have been a reason for the mysterious sightings.
Call of lakes and the sea. If the exploration of the bog’s secrets is not enough, on this route, you’ll encounter Kaņieru lake, one of the richest in birds and fish in Latvia. There you’ll have a chance to witness the local fishermen enjoying the last warm sunshine on their boats. Afterwards, a sandy beach with seagull calls will accompany you until Slokas and Black lake, where legends tell a tale of sunken war tanks.
Route that has it all – bog enchantments, unique lakes, small villages and beach exploration. On this route, you’ll continue along the seashore and encounter Ragaciema lighthouse and Sedums, an interesting monument to fishing history, where ancient fishermen’s houses can be found. After a walk along the sea, you’ll find yourself back in the company of forests and lakes, and just before returning to Ķemeri, you’ll be greeted by Black and Slokas lakes.

REGISTRATION
After arriving to the start area, your ticket will be scanned (mobile versions accepted) and you will be handed out your starting package.
PARKING
Parking in the parking lots located in the territory of the city of Liepaja. You can conveniently find them on the event map.
STARTING
After registration, you are allowed to begin the hike on the designated time for your route, which can be found in the route comparison area.
CUPS DEPOSIT
If you do not have a cup for tea, it will be possible to borrow it in the starting area, leaving a 1 euro deposit. The deposit will be returned after the hike by returning the cup.
HIKING
Rest and assistance stops will be set up all across the hike route. You will also be able to replenish your water supplies, have a cup of tea, grab a snack and if need be, receive first medical assistance.
TRANSPORTATION AFTER TERMINATING YOUR HIKE EARLY
Participants wishing to terminate their hike early will have to get to the nearest rest and assistance stop. From there, they will be brought back to the start area by designated vehicles. For participants who have not completed the hike, e-mail the diploma will be sent by e-mail specified during registration. by mail within 15 minutes after the finish is recorded in the registration system.
FINISHING
All of the hike routes are radial, thus you will start and finish and the same place – Tukuma iela 32a, Jūrmala, LV-2012, Latvia (GPS:56.9463294, 23.4962709). Here, the participants who have successfully completed their chosen route will be awarded with medals. El. the diploma will be sent to the participant by e-mail specified during registration by mail within 15 minutes after finishing.
When registering, all participants agree with hike regulations.
