The most anticipated TrekTours coastal Curonian Spit hike is here!

We are pleased to announce that 19 September will be more than just another day – it will be the longest hiking day of the year, and you are invited to join us! Never before have there been so many routes and so many kilometres. We have listened to your requests and are extending not only the duration of the hike, but also the distances, for the first time ever: 120 km.

We invite you to end the summer in a place where you’ll wish it would never end – perhaps the most beautiful spot in Lithuania – the Curonian Spit. For us, there is never enough time for hiking – whether by day or by night! The Curonian Spit and 8 different routes await: 7, 13, 26, 36, 50, 82, 100, or even 120 km!

A true summer farewell hiking festival awaits. We invite everyone not only to challenge themselves, but also to choose a distance that inspires a healthier, more joyful, and longer-lasting way of life.

The number of tickets for the event is limited. Prices will increase on the event day, current prices are listed below.

ROUTE INFORMATION

A route you can enjoy with the whole family, including pets. Your hike begins along the harbour, which always offers a romantic atmosphere.

You will pass the Exhibition of Historic Ships, an ethnographic seaside fisherman’s homestead, the Lithuanian Maritime Museum, and the Sea Gate, where you turn directly towards the coast. From there, continue through the pine forests of Curonian Spit National Park and along the lagoon.

A short but memorable walk – a perfect way to bid farewell to summer until next season!

A longer yet peaceful stroll along the seaside, through pine forests and beside the lagoon. The Curonian Spit and the pristine beaches of Smiltynė will uplift your spirit, calm your mind, and invigorate your body.

You will pass the Exhibition of Historic Ships, an ethnographic seaside fisherman’s homestead, the Lithuanian Maritime Museum, and the Sea Gate, from where you will head straight to the coast. Along the way, you will also encounter a former anti-aircraft battery. Turning into the pine forest, you will pass Hagen Hill before returning to the finish along the lagoon. Golden summer sand and the last rays of the season will meet beneath your feet, creating the perfect setting to enjoy time with family, loved ones, or friends.

It is no coincidence that TrekTours’ most popular route is marked in yellow. It offers the perfect balance between spending at least six hours outdoors and enjoying a moderately challenging hike.

A scenic trail along the lagoon awaits, featuring the Exhibition of Historic Ships, an ethnographic seaside fisherman’s homestead, the Lithuanian Maritime Museum, a former anti-aircraft battery, the Bear’s Head observation deck, a ship graveyard, the seashore, and beautiful pine forests.

All this creates a wonderful opportunity to bid farewell to summer on foot.

Want more of the sea? Choose the Blue Route, which will carry you like a wave to the beach through dunes and pine forests, all the way to the lagoon.

During the hike, you’ll follow a scenic path along the lagoon, passing the Vintage Ships Exhibition, an ethnographic seaside fisherman’s homestead, the Lithuanian Maritime Museum, and the Sea Gate, from where you’ll turn directly towards the coast. You’ll enjoy plenty of wonderful time by the sea and in the pine forests of Curonian Spit National Park. Additional highlights that will leave a lasting impression include the former anti-aircraft battery, the Bear’s Head observation deck, and a ship graveyard.

This route is the perfect choice to clear your mind, invigorate your body, and recharge emotionally.

If this distance seems daunting, experienced hikers will tell you that this is one of the easiest places to conquer it. The flat coastline, sweeping views, pine forests, fresh air, and holiday atmosphere carry you forward like a wave.

During the hike, you will even reach Juodkrantė! The journey begins as you cross from Klaipėda to the Curonian Spit National Park. From there, you follow paths along the lagoon and harbour. Along the way, you pass the Exhibition of Historic Ships, an ethnographic seaside fisherman’s homestead, the Lithuanian Maritime Museum, a former anti-aircraft battery, and continue for many kilometres along the seashore, through dunes and pine forests, until you reach the beach at Juodkrantė. The route then leads over Witches’ Hill, into the town of Juodkrantė, and onwards towards Amber Bay, from where the path turns back towards the finish. On your way, you also pass the Bear’s Head observation deck, a ship graveyard, and finally return along the romantic harbour.

You may be surprised to find that even 50 kilometres can feel like one long, enjoyable journey!

Exactly! If you have paused at this number and are considering giving it a try, take it as a sign – nothing more, nothing less. We do not promise an easy journey or light feet at the finish, but we do promise to look after you from start to finish, whether you cross the line at night or at dawn.

Prepare to bid farewell to summer with a distance that begins with the infinity symbol, representing endless endurance and adventure!

During the hike, you will reach Pervalka. You will start and finish your journey in a romantic setting along the harbour, where you can watch ships depart and return. From there, you will pass the Ship Veterans Exhibition, the Ethnographic Seaside Fisherman’s Homestead, the Lithuanian Maritime Museum, a former anti-aircraft battery, and then walk many kilometres along the coastline and through pine forests, eventually reaching Juodkrantė Beach before continuing towards Pervalka.

From Pervalka, your return journey to the finish begins. You will walk along the Dead Dunes until you reach the town of Juodkrantė. From there, you will turn towards Amber Bay, the Bear’s Head observation deck, and continue through the pine forests towards the finish line. Once you reach the ship graveyard, the New Ferry is nearby – only a couple of kilometres remain to the finish!

If you’ve already told yourself for the hundredth time that you need to do THIS this year, go for it! We’ve prepared a route that will provide you with help, support, and encouragement.

There may be little romance in covering such a distance, but rediscovering yourself and your body is guaranteed! This is the kind of challenge chosen by those who are not afraid of difficulties and know they can only be overcome by moving forward. We’ll be waiting for you until noon the next day, so get ready to surprise yourself with how much you are capable of!

During the hike, you will reach Preila! You will start and finish your journey along the harbour. Next, you’ll pass the Vintage Ship Exhibition, the Ethnographic Seaside Fisherman’s Homestead, the Lithuanian Maritime Museum, and the Sea Gate, from which you’ll head directly towards the coast. As expected, this route will cover many kilometres along the coast, past dunes and through pine forests. You’ll reach Pervalka, then walk along the Dead Dunes towards Witches’ Hill, and after crossing it, arrive at Juodkrantė, Amber Bay, the Bear’s Head observation deck, and the anti-aircraft battery. Finally, you’ll pass the ship graveyard, and after that, the New Ferry – from there, the finish line is just a couple of kilometres away!

For the first time in history, and at your request: 120 kilometres! Only the toughest, boldest, and those who have conquered 100 km more than once will dare to take on this challenge.

If you choose this route, you must already know what it is like to walk for over 24 hours without sleep, in the dark, when your mind tries to convince you not to take another step. A black-and-red, hellish route awaits the strongest and most resilient – and we are ready to support you and wait for you at the finish line, however long it takes.

During the hike, you will make your way to Nida! This is the longest hike of the event, so you will pass the most sights along the way. You will spend the entire time in the Curonian Spit National Park. You will start and finish your journey along the harbour, which will lead you to the Vintage Ships Exhibition, the Ethnographic Seaside Fisherman’s Homestead, and the Lithuanian Maritime Museum, all the way to the Sea Gate, from where you will turn straight towards the coast.

Expect many kilometres along the coastline, past dunes and through pine forests. The furthest point is Nida Purvynė, where you will turn around and head back along the road past the Nida Airfield. The further you go, the more fascinating it becomes. Along the route, you will pass Veckrugo Dune, Preila Dune, Preila, and Pervalka. You will see the Pervalka Lighthouse and continue towards the Dead Dunes and Witches’ Hill, which will lead you to Juodkrantė, appearing surprisingly close to the finish line by comparison. From there, you will head towards Amber Bay and the Bear’s Head observation deck, passing the anti-aircraft battery. Finally, after the ship graveyard and the New Ferry, the finish line will be just a couple of kilometres away.
